For as long as I can remember, I have always created a place I can call my own. Whether it was my Winnie The Pooh themed bedroom as a child
or a stage I could tap dance on as a teen. Throughout my life, its been important to me to have a little space that I retreat to whenever the mood strikes.

Now that I'm 26 (nearer to 30 than 20 and I don't know how thats happened lol) I am lucky enough to be able to rent and have a beautiful safe place that
has now turned into my home. Although this is my second rented flat, the excitement and happiness due to freedom, is still as fresh
as it was when I first moved out back in 2015.

I've been living here for just over two months now & if I'm quite honest, its been stress free, relaxing and downright bloody wonderful. Having my own little sanctuary allows me to practice self care freely and at anytime I want. I am able to relax, unwind and completely chill out. My head feels clear when my environment is clear so I also try my best to keep things as tidy as possible (I often fail at this.. obvs). I have particular scents I spray in my bathroom and I burn incense just because I love the vibe and warmth it creates throughout my place. I have big windows, white walls and a giant office that gets me excited to leave my bed in the mornings and now I'm also slowly starting to fill my place with lots of things that are an extension of who I am and/or what I like. From plants to fresh flowers, from fluffy rugs to bath bombs. From my gold coffee table of dreams to scented candles and photographs - this entire apartment is my safe place and being here makes me burst with joy.

For as long as I can remember I've been obsessed with inspiring quotes & beautiful imagery whilst also making my safe place extremely personable.  The latest additions to my home are a bunch of incredible posters from one of my favourite companies - Desenio. Desenio are a scandi brand who pride themselves on good quality wall art that is also accessible to everyone due to their affordable prices.

When deciding on the type of wall art I'd like to have throughout my flat, I just knew I wanted pieces that were uplifting, meaningful and somewhat feminine. I definitely wanted some colour, but mainly monochromatic pieces that won't ever go out of style and I definitely feel like I've achieved that.

With the help of Desenio I have elevated my home and filled up those giant white walls beautifully.

The prints in my bedroom in particular are powerful, strong and empowering
- the perfect tone to end any evening and to start any day.

I'm still working on pretty much everywhere in my flat, but the living room wall art (which I take great pride in lol) is complete and I bloomin' love it! There is something so incredibly calming about leafs and water, so I chose those as the main bulk and then I added on a little quote.

"Your mind is a powerful thing. When you fill it with positive thoughts, your life will start to change".

Desenio also do frames for every poster size so it makes ordering super easy and stress free. I am absolutely awful at measuring things and I'm always buying frames that are either too small for my prints or too big. So if you're a bit like me, this added service is perfect.

Creating your own safe and clutter free environment is SO important, especially if you are prone to stress, you lead a busy life and/or you suffer with mental health issues. If you'd like to treat yoself to some prints and I promise you, you won't be disappointed 😉 then you will all be delighted to know that I have a discount code, woop! You can get 25% off all posted (except the handpicked section and frames, soz) from July 18th-20th using code GRACE at checkout!

Having a safe space is so important to my mental health too! There’s nothing comparable to coming to a place where you feel at peace with yourself and your surroundings. Some of those prints are absolutely beautiful, and definitely strike a nice balance between being monochromatic and feminine
