A few weeks back I announced that throughout July I am an ASOS ambassador - squeals! So that means I get to share with you lots of summery content that includes my favourite brand ever ever everrrr. The last post I did was all about embracing colour and why I'm trying to step out of my comfort zone - if you haven't read it yet, you can check it out here. But for today's post I thought we'd focus on taking festival fashion as inspo when getting dressed in the mornings.

Now if I'm being real, I'm not the biggest fan of festivals. I like to think I'm low maintenance - but thats one big gigantic lie lol. I can't travel light, I hate sleeping in a tent and the idea of washing with a baby wipe makes me want to cry LOL. However, I am a huge fan of live music, street food and of course festival fashion so if a few of my favourite artists are performing somewhere, I will definitely try to pop along.

My favourite thing about festival fashion is the freedom to try any or every part of the trend. Some people will choose to wear denim cut offs with wellies and a bra, other people might choose a white dress with converse and a flower crown - each to their own y'know?

But for me personally, its about staying true to my own style whilst being comfortable and feeling cute!

The Dress*
This isn't actually a dress I'd usually go for. I'm not big on stripes or things with a busy back but YOLO right? I love the cotton material which is great for warmer weather as its cool, light and airy (I sweat a lot lol). The multicolours throughout casually add in little pops of happiness and how cute is that little bow? Also - big up me for being body confident and showing my back rolls haha.

The Jacket*
Now I know what you're thinking. A jacket to a festival? But hear me out. The weather in the UK is so unpredictable that during the warmest of months a storm could appear at any moment so you have to be prepared. I love this little denim number that I've been meaning to buy for a while. I sized up x2 so its quite roomy and slouchy as thats how I prefer my denim jackets to be. The hood is also a great addition.

The Shoes*
How insane are these? I know they're not a classic festival shoe but omg I fell in love when I first stumbled across them AAANNNNDDD they're surprisingly comfortable too. I actually prefer wearing flatforms to completely flat shoes as I find they actually prevent my feet from the dreaded ache. The chunkiness in these with the silver ring and stud detail, paired with the rest of the outfit is the epitome of girly grunge. (Definitely made that up didn't I lol)

The Accessories*
Tassel earrings because when do I ever not wear them lol? Round glasses because they are so cool and give me of an old school Lauryn Hill vibe, and of course a mini backpack so I can fill it with totally necessary stuff lol. Things like a portable charger, paracetamol, plasters, cash & sun lotion. I don't tend to wear backpacks often as I'm really into my standard handbags, but for festivals I obviously need both my arms free so I can shake a leg and maybe even duty whine LOL.
