So I don't know if you've noticed, but since getting my sasstastic braids, my personal style has taken a real turn to the wild side lol. That, as well as the warmer weather, has resulted in me somehow developing a wardrobe brimming with colour - I of course am NOT complaining. Although this sudden urge to dress like a walking talking rainbow has recently sprung up on me, when I really think about it, its all because I've got more confidence.

So in today's post I thought we'd have a little chat about embracing colour with the added help of my absolute faves ASOS because guess what?
I've only gone and bagged myself a lil ambassador role throughout July and yes - I am bloody excited lol.

For me personally, embracing colour has come around because I've been embracing myself. I'm a confident girl most of the time, but I do tend to play it safe when it comes to fashion because I'm a creature of habit and I like to wear stuff that I know looks good on me. However, over the past month or so I've been trying to ditch 'flattering' clothes (read more about that here) and instead wear stuff I actually want to wear without any restrictions. I've also felt super inspired with fashion so I guess that also helps me to put together new and interesting looks that I would usually shy away from. Monochromatic outfits are chic and sassy and trendy, but sometimes they're boring. And tbqh, sometimes wearing a yellow and white checked skirt with a bright yellow matching bag AND matching yellow sunglasses is absolutely necessary lol - don't forget the multicoloured lace ups too!

I don't know whether its the new do, or because I'm so well rested from my recent holiday but I feel bold, fresh and excited,
and I think my summer wardrobe reflects that.

Embracing colour should be super fun and can be adapted to suit anyone. Some of you may love pops of colour with accessories, others may like statement outerwear. The important thing to remember though, is to do what YOU want to do and wear what YOU feel suits you and your personal style. This may sound weird but I think you can showcase who you are or how you feel through the clothes and colours you wear.

So that's how you can embrace
colour this season.

Fashion is supposed to be daring and fun and full of pleasure so if you can, try and be braver with it this season.

A colour trend that I am yet to try but planning to, is clashing red with pink. There's SO many incredible pink and red pieces on the ASOS at the moment that my bank account is already crying lol.

Until next time gal dem.. x
