Yesterday I had a really ‘down’ day. Everything was annoying me, I kept crying, I couldn’t focus it, you know how it is right? I wanted to run away and hide for a while, so I did..
But today is a new day and I feel inspired to write a little post on how I bounce back and make sure my bad days are followed by better ones.
Have a yummy breakast because yummy food is the best. If you can, go out for it. I love Bills especially for a good brekkie, or you can always rustle up something yourself. Last weekend me and Simon made pancakes with bacon & maple syrup and it was just DELICIOUS. Its a cheaper alternative and you can make it slightly healthier too. Whats your favourite yummy breakfast? I like bagels with cream cheese & salmon too! How posh.
Mediate because we all get stressed and anxious & our minds can become clogged up and fuzzy and its important to take care of our brain, as much as we take care of the rest of our bodies. I use a lot of apps to mediate, some cost money but a good one thats free is, Headspace. It helps you to clear your mind, breathe & just be. Its so important for all of us to sometimes, just be.
Make a list, write down your thoughts & plan whats on the agenda for today? Can I bake, watch TV, write posts, what? A little structure aint ever hurt nobody, so get a routine in so you can focus and have a productive day. Even if productive means eating an entire packet of biscuits whilst watching Orange Is The New Black lol! Sometimes for me, I clear my diary, forget the lists and take out my frustration on cleaning & getting the flat in order. Whatever plan you have, make it happen and make it great!
Apply your favourite lipstick because sometimes lipstick can fix all our problems. If I’ve had a bad day, wearing makeup is my idea of hell. I want to look bad to match my mood, is that just me? But after my sleep and the new day has arrived, I want to feel glorious again, and sometimes makeup does that. Wack out the contour, define those brows and apply your favourite lipstick. At the moment I am loving MAC Mocha, MAC Velvet Teddy & NARS Cruella. What are you loving?
Listen to your favourite music & maybe even dance around naked, who cares? Nothing makes me happier than singing my favourite happy/sassy songs at the top of my lungs. Destiny’s Child is definitely a good way to go, or a bit of old school NSync lol? I know I’m not the only one.. Music is like therapy for most people so why not wake up to something that makes you so happy? Download Spotify and thank me later.
